The Valparaiso University women’s basketball program has announced its 2019 summer camp dates and details.
It will be a special week for Valparaiso Athletics as the University will host its first Missouri Valley Conference Championship event in any sport as The Valley’s 10 women’s golf teams compete for an automatic NCAA Regional berth.
The Cubs’ 2018 Season ended rather traumatically. There were massive roadblocks throughout the year, like Kris Bryant’s injured shoulder, Yu Darvish making his Cubs’ debut with an injured elbow that limited him to eight starts, and an offense that, in the words of Cubs’ President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein, was simply “broken.”

When the Hammond Pros took the field as one of the original NFL Teams, not many people knew what the NFL would become over the next 100 years. Now, nearly 100 years after the National Football League was born in Canton, Ohio, the NFL is celebrating the 13 communities, including Hammond, that were home to the teams in its inaugural season. The initiative is part of ‘NFL100,’ a year-long commemoration of its centennial season bringing together generations of football fans, players, communities and all 32 clubs for a unique line-up of programming and activities.

Let the good times roll. Both the men's and women's Calumet College of St. Joseph bowling teams were in action at the Norse Classic this past weekend, each with their own set of goals. For the Lady Wave, finishing out the season on a strong note was the key, with the men looking for one more solid tournament preformance to get them ready for the last tier one event of the year. Both achieved their goals, as they took home two top two finishes on Saturday afternoon in Kentucky.
The Valparaiso University men’s tennis team has achieved its first weekly award of the season as junior Brandon Ancona (Belvidere, Ill. / Rockford Christian) was named the Summit League Player of the Week on Tuesday.
