It’s happening again! The rousing All About the Girls (AATG) event presented by Ideas in Motion Media promises an evening of fun and inspiration from the minds of some of Northwest Indiana’s strongest women. Courage Over Comfort is the year’s theme, a perfect match for the event’s 5th anniversary.
Crown Point community members, business owners, and city officials gathered on Wednesday evening to hear one of the most anticipated addresses in the area, the 2019 State of the City. Presented by Mayor David F. Uran, the State of the City address offered a look into the progress, current affairs, and future of the City of Crown Point.

When children hear the word parade, their eyes get wide and their smiles brighten. On Saturday, children from all over the Region carried bags to Franklin Street in Michigan City, eager to get a glimpse of the fun and catch their favorite piece of candy. The annual Michigan City St. Patrick’s Day Parade brought the community together to enjoy an afternoon of celebration.
The aroma of hotcakes and sausage filled Valparaiso High School’s cafeteria on Saturday during Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Club’s famous Pancake Day Breakfast. Beyond the breakfast food, there was a spirit of community as people enjoyed each other’s company while supporting the Valparaiso Noon Kiwanis Club’s philanthropy.

Hammond Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. has rescheduled the February 27, 2019 Mayor’s Night Out in the 5th District due to a scheduling conflict. The new date will be Wednesday, August 7th at Purdue University Northwest from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.
