VHS Basketball Members Serve at Summer Food Program

Members of Valparaiso High School Basketball team show off their painting skills painting a wheelchair ramp at the Hilltop Neighborhood House Village Food Pantry. Members of the Varsity and Jr. Varsity teams volunteer as team every week at the new Hilltop Summer Food program.

The Summer Food Program is free for all children ages 0-18 and their parents. Doors open Monday-Friday from 12-1 PM at 604 East Monroe Street in Valparaiso. The program is sponsored by Immanuel Lutheran Church, Kouts Christian Church, First United Methodist Church, Union Community, Faith Community Church, Ben Franklin Builders Club & Building Bridges. Currently the program serves over 250 meals each week to children in the Hilltop neighborhood.
